Gender and Bathrooms - Facebook 27 April 2016

Bathrooms. It's a company courtesy that they provide them to patrons at all. They get to make the rules regarding their usage. Men/women segregation no longer applicable? Gross, but whatever. If you don't like it, then don't patronize that establishment or don't use their bathrooms. We don't have gender separated bathrooms at home. It's not a God given right. It's a courtesy. And for the love! Don't get the government involved in private industry and their complimentary service of providing bathrooms. The companies may just decide to take them away altogether. People who look like women were already using the ladies room. I would take my little boys with me into the women's room all the time without issue. So the current separation is really just a suggestion anyway.

As for the schools where attendance is mandatory not voluntary, if a girl identifying as a boy or visa versa demands to use the bathroom that is inconsistent with their gender that's a no-win situation for the school board. Either they will have to make genderless locker rooms or provide individual rooms for each person to privately shower and change.

I'm open to discourse on this issue. If there is some factor that I am overlooking then please feel free to elucidate me.
