I am sitting in an empty church parking lot with three kids.
Backstory:The baby is sick and refused to eat last night. The little boys think there is a monster in their room. Now this all wouldn't be a problem except:
We went to bed at 11pm
Sam woke up hysterical at 12:30 because he was so hungry.
The little boys came into our room screaming at 1:30 (re: the monster) and woke up the baby
Sam woke up every hour after that because he was so miserable (re:sick)

AND...we are now sitting in the church parking lot completely on time for a 7 o'clock 4th of July breakfast, which, as it turns out doesn't actually start until 8 am ON the 4th of July. 😖
